What mega supplements did for me.
What mega supplements did for me?
Table of contents. -What was wrong? -What else was wrong? -The thinking. -What I did. What was wrong?. A reasonable question for anyone wondering if this page might apply to them. I was thoroughly entertained at school, so it was not lack of interest, but being backward at coming forward was an understatement. Luckily I knew how to play outside in the playground having fun, and was at least proactive there. In the classroom was a different story. This is where my attention deficit played out. I was removed from the classes of history, geography, physics, chemistry and more. I was allowed to stay in class for woodword, maths and art. This all happened without any discussion with me or my parents. Brain health and a trade. I remember my careers guidance interview at school. I sat down and my maths teacher said to me. What do you like?I said I liked computers and woodwork. He said do woodwork! Then shouted NEXT?Well I did do wood work. I'm not saying his observations was not correct at the time, but it does show where I was at. Jordan Petterson says Ones education level should be as high as your intelect or ambition.I like this statement. It was the cognitive downward spiral that bothered me. Although I did stumble through and finish a degree at age 33 my health did become a factor in my performance at university and food allergies caused excema to express itself, and a concussion during my placement year probably didn't help matters much. However, it was the downward spiral after finishing university and dissertation, that caused me most concern. Lets focuss and work. This downward spiral mostly mentally was noticed by me. I had to actually think myself into a conscious state in the mornings sometimes. It was like a mild fading away from reallity. I decided it was a time in my life where I could sink or swim and decided to swim for it. So I set a goal to work my way out of this, what ever it was. This seemed to work, slowly. Now a physical decline. Next came my overall health decline. This was more physical. Although having a bad back for most of my life had helped me decide to explore university just incase my back stopped me from working, I did not expect it to fall into such disrepair. I put this down to it having got weak due to not having to do much work during university studies and becoming much weaker. However, even once I had gone back to working as a carpenter, there was not a corresponding increase in strength. My back continued to play a painful role in what ever I did. Down and out! This decline at age 44 although now mostly physical did include loss of focus and a general malaise. My back did finally go relatively completely, and I spent a year under the care of a bad back specialist at the expense of my partner at the time. This was a long old road with me doing all that I could whilst taking the bad back peoples advice along the way. Plus I was doing up to 27 hours yoga/Pilates each week. I was determined. Physio and a long physical recovery! My hips become unstable and painful and therefore running also become painful. I was advised by the physio that she had seen this before and that if I keep up this regular visit to her mini gym that we would get me back to running. I hoped she was right. She was right! It did take most of the year. The other thing I noticed in my general decline was my mental health. It showed itself with an inclination to have this debate every morning with myself in my own head, whether or not to go into work and at what time. This was a morning ritual. Eventually I would go to work at my joiners shop and do some work. At my lowest point I would work just 10 hours a week, this I feel was a form of depression, but at this time I did not know it was nutritionally based. Depression? I do not think I suffered depression per sais. However, I think it is about as close as one can get. I also think this was mostly lack of nutrition. Failing my course. I started an access course to science and my grades suffered for the first third of the course. I had recently finished reading four books before the course started that past summer on nutritional suggestions for ADHD, mitochondrial health and the benefits of vitamin c, and old age, and in a crisis of almost failing one of my subjects at college known as chemistry, with an assignment due in at around Christmas time on my course, I decided to try an experiment. The plan. I put the knowledge I had gleaned from these four books, and put it together and come up with my own idea. These books covered such subjects as: the second covered nutrition for ADHD and this came after reading eight books on ADHD myself, and I was becoming convinced that food may play a role in some cases on the function of the brain. which also played a role in me deciding to combine a bunch of supplements and see what if I could improve my mental function. The last book I had read was on nutrition for old age. Chronic dependency on nutrition going forward. This idea was to assume that I was damaged goods. And according to the last book on old age I read which said that GIs coming back from the Korean war had two different health outcomes. Veterans that were captured by the enemy in Korea and subject to malnutrition for the entirety of their incarceration as POWs suffered massive weight loss and physical and mental stress too. Which, upon their return was partly dealt with by them getting lots of rest and good food. A socioeconomic looked at some of the details of survival rates amongst some of these returning veterans. This book is suggesting that a chronic dependency may occur. As Andrew W. Saul PhD says. The survivors that decided to take supplements their average age of death was approximately 80 years old. Of the ones that did not take supplements the average age of death was around 65 years of age. This might suggest that if someone has suffered a major stressful incident in their lifetime, this may alter their capacity to absorb nutrition or put a chronic dependency on nutrition going forward. How to varify any improvement. My interpretation of this information was to assume that perhaps I had some ongoing dependency on a supplement or two due to a childhood illness in the first two years of life that needed antibiotics. With this in mind and all the feedback I had got from different people throughout my life. I thought I would be able to detect a difference. Luckily for me I was attending college on my access course to science. This gave me another form of feedback I could use, and since I had already completed the first third of the course, I could even compare grades from the first third of the course with the second and the third third of the course. What I took in high doses, Vit C, B1, B3. First, I took 3g to 9g of vitamin c a day and by the end of the first week I felt a difference. I felt better. A little more alert, more rested after sleep and a little less virus. This resulted in my average weekly study amount of time going from 8 hours up to 16 hours a week. The next thing I did was to start taking B1 B2 and B3 in differing amounts. What I learned, was to take 500mg of B2 made no more than this made any impact. Next, I found that 1g of B1 and B3 together had the effect of letting me concentrate on my studies more. This meant my average weekly study went from between 12 to 16 hours up to 60 hours instantly. However, this did not last. Nine months of study! Why this did not last is questionable, firstly it could have something to do with the placebo effect, and I realise how significant this is. Secondly it could be I exhausted other reserves that B1 B2 and B3 rely on, like B12, B6 or lecithin or choline. Vitamins are interactive. When you add some supplement to your diet it might in turn put a strain on your reserves of another vitamin or mineral. I think this was the case for me, and when I found out what I thought the vitamin was that was missing and took it in abundance suddenly my ability to study went back up to a full week with nearly full concentration and the ability to sit and focus with regular breaks for more than twelve hours some days and on most days of the week. This meant the game was back on. The brain is made up of one third lecithin by dry weight. This means there is lots of it in the brain. So, I started supplementing with 4g at a time, up to twice a day, and added along with this the vit c, b1, b2, b3 and I could study again. This has remained my go to supplements from December through to August the following year at the writing of this. It is August now 2021. That is a consistent ability that has now lasted 9 months. I have taken some pre-emptive moves to avoid what might be the next deficiency though. Distinctions are my reward. When I finished college, I could see that my grades did indeed jump to the next level and distinctions and a few merits was my reward compared to a whole bunch of passes in the first third of the course. I also remained virus free, pretty much, compared to before. I used to always be fighting something or other, not anymore. After college had finished and it was time to go back to work, I started work immediately as a carpenter and joiner, on a 3 month contract, since I was qualified and experienced, and the next phase of my discoveries emerged. Amino acids and strength. About four weeks before the end of the college course, mentioned above, I started taking L acetyl cystine, and L acetyl carnitine to help with possible withdrawal I was expecting when trying to cut out both alcohol and SO2 (sodium dioxide, used to extend shelf life of food). These amino acids that I had just added to my diet gave me an unexpected benefit. My body responded very well to these supplement by rewarding me with extra strength, which was much appreciated, since now I was back working again as a carpenter and joiner. Maybe it was not extra strength but better and noticable recovery. I think l-glutamine is better at satisfying cravings. Just take a pinch of the powder and rub it on your gums both top and bottom, and this almost instantly feels like a real rush of what you want. Well it did and still does for me. Amino acids and strength, (bull worker), updated March 2022. I recently needed to take some glutamine, because I found it was implicated in helping rats improve their eye recovery along with some other supplements. To my surprise after only one week I was able to do 50% more bending on my bull worker. I hold one end down onto my knee and with the other end let it straighten out and then bend it back down to the hand that is holding it on my knee. Thus touching my hands. This has been an ongoing measure of any physical improvements experienced after any changes to my diet or supplementation for the last nearly 10 years. So this tool was used to help me relise just how weak and sick I was at my low point. At my low point I could only manage 5 to 7 bends. Amino acids and strength, (bull worker), updated March 2022 continued. This terrible achievement of only 7 bends with the bull worker back when I was 44 years old, was followed by an improvement, but only after I changed my diet from mainly take aways to mainly home cooked foods. After which I could then achieve 16 bends. Next was the introduction of mild supplementation, before I knew about mega supplementation, and one day I hit 25 bends. The next change in bull worker bending output capability came once I began mega supplemention. So 3g to 9g plus of vitamin C a day, enabled me to reach 3 * 20 bends of the bull worker. This was really something. Just vitamin C! I was amazed, never again would I not take vitamin C. You can see in the above paragraphs that my reward for taking vitamin C was not just physical (better resluts at college). Things continuted to improve and to find how I took my bending of the bull worker all the way up to 75 in one go as of this writting March 2022 vist my page on Recovery and strength and my bad back. Just like when trying to increase my ability to concentrate whilst studying, now I wanted to increase my ability to hold onto my strength or at least recover well whilst working as a carpenter and joiner. My history as a carpenter and joiner was that on occasion my back would hurt. Sometimes it would hurt a lot. I once took a year out of work whilst under the care of a bad back specialist. This did help, because it gave me good posture and nudged the bits that needed nudging and helped me improve my posture and got me back exercising. Although it was painful, it did work, and got me back to work. Fixing my bad back and getting it into the swing of things again and vitamin C!Cartilage issues? How did my heel healFurther to this I myself began running and found in a short while my achilles tendon or the retrocalcaneus bursa was sore on both heel bones. At the time (before supplements) I tried lots of approaches to help with the repair. Including lots of days off, slow walks of varying distances, massage and pilates. Nothing seemed to help. It was a real worry since I work by walking or standing. I think at the time I finally experimented with a collagen supplement for other reasons (getting into keto) and I forgot all about my heel. Looking back now I can see the relationship between my heel healing and the collagen. I have now not taken collagen for some years, but have instead moved over to taking vitamin C in large doeses. So although my heel was really painful for a long time 4-6 months and felt sensitive when I walked on it too. It seems now after taking vitamin C for nearly 3 years that the achilles heel is no concern anymore. I still run periodically both on road and cross country and with no care for my heel.Sheep have bad backs and vitamin C!Amino acids and what? Vitamin C!What about Vitamin C and fruit and vegetablesIs it true that some vegetarians and or vegans think you can get enough vitamin C from their fruit and vegThese are all really good questions. I would like to approach one of these question here like this. Well as far as getting all your vitamin C from your diet is concerned even being vegan or vegeterian like a few people have suggested (from both the vegan and vegeterian societies) cannot get enough vitamins from their fruit and veg. Then perhaps it follows how is anyone else eating less fruit and veg going to avoid needing a vitamin C supplement. However, the and the both recommend supplements. They do explain that one does actually need to eat fruit and veg everyday to get the daily allowance of most vitamins and minerals. However, there are still some supplements that are especially necessary for better health.Getting enough vitamin CGetting the daily allowance for some vitamins may not be enough. Vitamin C daily allowance possited by the government may need updating. This would make some sense since my reading suggests thatCan anyone get enough vitamin C from their foodSo along with this discussion comes the thought that if greens and fruits provided enough vitamin C then why do so many vegeterian animal creatures need to still produce their own vitamin C requirements? Although this is a realatively good point. There is new evidence suggesting that we as humans seem to have an increased amount of gluc 1 receptors in our red blood cells (some 200,000), this is even more than glucose receptors, which are able to get vitamin C as partly explained here: This is a nice human work around. This would also go some way to confirm why some vegeterians and vegans and poor dieters such as fast food junkies or restricted dieters, may stuggle to provide either enough vitamin C or enough DHA (which is the oxidised form of vitamin C).Does lack of vitamin C and or DHA lead to hip fracturesThe reason therefore might be that meat eaters have slightly more access to DHA than vegans or vegeterians. Although some plants may be quite high in alpha linoic acid, which the body can convert to DHA and EPA. The problem here isIs the vegan and vegetarian diets partly to blame. So it appears to me that since vitamin C is so important for ligament, bone, skin, back discs, eyes and cartilage strength, and recovery from injury that vegans and some vegetarians in some part can blame their diet for their chronic shortage of vitamin C. This may in turn go some way to answer the question of why there might be slightly more hip fractures amonst the vitamin C deficient. What about vitamin C and hip fracturesPart of the reason one may be able to associate bone and hip health with vitamin C and or DHA can be found in this study where it suggests some of the diseased states derived from having scurvy includes: Indeed the NIH goes onto suggest there is some evidence for a potential role of vitamin C in osteoporosis and fracture prevention. How about D3 and calciumOfcourse it would be remit of me to not mention D3 and calcium as cofactors in the health of bone assuming one takes vitamin K. Ofcourse there is D3 in mushrooms but they do Just a short note on D3, one would not be wrong to mention all the work that has already been done and researched by Jeff Bowels. He has compiled and written what I believe to be the most comprehensive compilation of facts dating back to the 1920s right up to present times and has risked probably almost everything including being torn apart by his enemies in a bid to share one of many best kept secrets that exists. His book D3 with the K vitamin is necessary in high amounts, of between 40,000 and 100,000iu a day for bones to have a chance to soften and remodel. Infact Jeff Bowels has nick named D3 as the bone remodeler. He is not the only one touting the importance of D3. Dr Rhonda Patrick PhD has traveled all over her own country and visited the Philipines in particular to raise her concerns that avoiding the sun and not taking D3 supplements can be a real problem for women hoping to have children. Since this hormone is so critical for the health of both mother and baby. She is quoted hereHow is a vegan or vegetarian supposed to get enough DHADo not dispair. There is lots of evidence suggesting that the conversion goes the other way too. Ofcourse DHA is short for dehydroascorbic acid. The last part of this name is ascorbic acid, which is vitamin C. Further vitamin C concentrates inside the mitochondria where most free radicals congregate. Where the brain is concerned it is the DHA form that can cross the blood brain barrier where it is converted back into ascorbic acid where it can be utilized. This seems to suggest that not only that there is a mechanism within the body for converting back and forth between DHA and ascorbic acid, but also that ascorbic acid AKA DHA is fundamental for eye health because some 60% of all the polyunsaturated fat in the retina is DHA and that a massive 40% of all the polyunsaturated fat in the brain is DHA too. There are serious implications here for Alzheimers and poor eyesight sufferers and the people whom have an increased risk of cancers if increased levels of vitamin C are not obtained by poor dieters or vegans and vegeterians and although red blood cells do not have any mitochondria they do have some 200,000 receptors for vitamin C which is even more receptors than it has for glucose. Thomas Seyfried in his book Cancer A Metabolic Disease has made a very strong case for cancer being a respiration problem within the mitochondrial cell. Since vitamin C helps clean mitochondria of its are all vegans and vegetarians really going to wait for the proof to come out? Or are they going to hedge their bets and start taking vitamin C in greater amounts just in case? How to know you need more vitamin CThe best way to gauge whether or not you are getting enough vitamin C is to keep taking vitamin C every hour through the day until you reach bowel tollerance. One would hope it is around 16g a day. If one reaches bowel tollerance sooner than it simply means you did not need so much and your cells /immune system /brain /eyes /thyroid /organs /hair /nails /skin /bones and all the 50 trillion epithelial cells all have plenty. However, if you find you can take a vitamin C all day every hour and it have no effect on your bowles than maybe change the does to 1g every half hour.Kidney stones and vitamin CI heard online somewhere that too much vitamin C can give you kidney stones. This is almost complete rubbish. There are four types of kidney stones and vitamin C helps to dissolve the three most common types accounting for over 99% of all kidney stones. The one type of stone left is so rare and unresearched that we are not even sure what causes it. So again you can either wait for the proof or hedge your bets and start taking more vitamin C just in case.Vitamin C and bladder infectionsSo it seems this website has found a paper that saysEyes and vitamin C and not to forget to mentionOur eyes have their own protective barrier very similar to the blood brain barrier and gut wall linning, called the it can take a substantial effort to get past this barrier. Taking vitamin C to bowel tolerance on a daily basis, but also taking high concentrations of sulforaphane 60mg (the brocalli extract) can both make a real impact.Sulforaphane was brought into my awareness by a couple of people, PhD Abram Hoffer (book Orhomolecular Medicine) and Thyroid and vitamin Chas lead to an epidemic of Thyroid problems. Infact this link above goes onto say that cruciferous vegetables like kale, broccoli, cauliflower, and bok choy actually contain thiocyanates which can affect the absorbtion of iodine. Lack of other minerals like selenium and iron also play an important role for the eventual development of hyperthyroidism not just for vegans and vegetarians but everyone in general. Although many non processed meats go a long way in ameliorating some these problems for healthy meat eaters, because most grass feed meats contain enough DHA (dehydroxyascorbate) the oxidised form of vitamin C, meats may also contain enough iron and in rarer cases selenium since the later is more dependent on soil composition. This article may be suggesting that high doeses of vitamin C may go some way to help repair damaged epithelial cells in the thyroid.Thyroid has many complicating factorsHowever, thyroid has many complicating factors, such as sugar being too high or too low hypoglycemia hyperglycemia and toxins like heavy metals etc according the book However, not being an expert in all this these two authors do not agree on the amount of iodine to take. I myself have been taking the 52mg of iodine everyday for a year with only good things to say. Like increased strength and less viruses. So maybe it is time to consider taking some of this stuff (iron, iodine, selenium and vitamin C), if things are not working out too well so far. Or again you might wait for the absolute proof, which may take some time. Why proof is hard to come byThe reason proof may take sometime yet is because with complex systems like the human body with its too many variables can lead to over complicated results. However, I think a rising tide lifts all the ships in the harbour. So like This is a fast track approach to finding out if you can affect a health outcome quickly. He is the guy who cofounded cloud computing. So one could hedge their bets and start taking some more iodine, vitamin C, selenium and iron etc, since this course of action is not going to hurt you and controlling your sugars is only going to take you in the right direction long term too.How much is enough vitamin C or DHAHowever, what was not mentioned was how dose matters. If one takes just 500mg of vitamin C a day. How is the body supposed to divide it up?(opens in new tab) We already know that our immune system can hold at any one up to 2g of vitamin C. What is the suggested dosage over timeThe first thing to mention here is that the half life of vitamin C in plasma is 30 minutes. When the RDA (recommended daily allowance) was first (and the only time) established. The blood sample was taken a full 12 hours after a high does was taken. The amount was probably just over 2g of vitamin C, but after 12 hours (24 half lives) the blood sample read just 90mg of vitamin C in the blood serum.500mg or 3g a day of vitamin CDoes that mean 500mg of vitamin C a day will keep the body topped up enough? Or does the rate of use vary according to the environment inwhich it operates? Catching a cold would presumably change the rate at which that 2g of vitamin C disappears! Billy goats are different to us in that they can make vitamin C, but it does give us some insight into how the rate of loss of vitamin C may change in a day. So when billy goats get sick it can produce as much as 100g of vitamin C a day. I will varify this figure when I can. So the question is how much does it produce when it is not sick? Well this website suggests that a goat produces some thirteen times their normal daily ranges when they have viral or sickness challanges. Which does not seem overly wild. So the figure here is thirteen times their normal daily ranges. So for us it might be the case that when sick we need more vitamin C than when we are not sick.A friend of mine told me that he started to administer vitamin C to his dad orally who had stage four prostate cancer. His dad managed to take up to 36g a day without reaching bowel tollerance. He did not have access to intravenous vitamin C. According to It was believed that those levels could not be reached this way without reaching bowel tolerance. This is why Norman Cousins chose intravenous vitamin C. He self administered intravenous vitamin C during his cancer stay at hospital and recovered! Although in Norman Cousins' case it was not stage four cancer. Vitamin C and CancerEven if you just feel a little ill, just start taking a vitamin C supplement every hour or half hour until you reach bowel tolerance. Infact trying to reach bowel tolerance is a good way to find out if you are fighting any viral or bacterial infection in the back ground, whether the amount is as little as 9g or as much 31g. For most people without an underlying infection they may only be able to tolerate a few grams, whereas someone with an underlying infection may need 20 or 30g of vitamin C before they reach bowel tolerance. If I was a vegan or vegetarian this would definately be my guide, The reason for this is explained above. As a meat and fish eater I am not so sure that my food even contains enough DHA. Only grass feed meats and wild caught fish seem to have the right amounts of DHA. So maybe us meat eaters need to start fishing and get our own chickens and goat? Maybe the food industry will listen as we vote with our feet? Just a little more on this. If you suspect you may have caught a virus and it just has not shown itself yet. You can check your theory by loading up on vitamin C and then seeing how many grams it takes to reach bowel tolerance. If the level is unusually high then you have some feed back suggesting that your body is requiring more vitamin C for some reason? This is a good indication to suggest not only that you have a virus, but also that you can increase the amount of vitamin C. Life threatening choices and vitamin C and COPDLuckily for my mum it seems that the body decided to allocate the vitamin C correctly to the mending of her lungs. Anecdotal evidence of this is that after 5 months of taking vitamin C she stopped coaughing up phlegm into the sink every morning. She only took 1g a day, but in my opinion this was only just enough. However, she is a small person so maybe that was enough. Along with some breathing exercises which she found easier to do too. She feels her emphysema is getting better. Which is a far cry from the Bearing in mind when I say breathing I mean nose breathing not mouth breathing. This seems an important distinction according to the So from this we can derive that when my mum gets a virus like a cold her breathing problems return temporarily. This makes some sense according to the research above where to body may choose to use what vitamin C it has in the most life saving way possible. Another thing to note about my mums condition is that since taking her vitamin C she has had no chest infections. Whereas before vitamin C she had one or two each year. Now one could wait for the proof or one could hedge their bets and take the vitamin C, do the breathing exercises and lift those weights and see what happens.Any more on vitamin C and the COPD and AlveoliMy mum was enticed into taking vitamin c when I told her that Alveoli is primarily made from collegen and collegen is mostly made from vitamin C along with some proline and glycine, infact we have some 340,000,000 Alveoli in our lungs. So I recommended she try the vitamin c. She did. And this is 5 months later since she started taking just 1g a day, she has stopped coughing up any phlegm for 3 weeks. She feels much much better, and her breathing has improved so much that I cannot remember the last time she saidhold on I need to catch my breath. It is now a further 3 months down the road and still no coughing into the sink. Knee pain and vitamin CIn actual fact I only have some limited experience with helping three people with their knees. In each case their knees had become so painful that each was considering a life changing action. Either quitting work or they had already started using a walking stick. Although there are a number of possible causes for a painful knee including injury and wear and tear and arthritis and more reasons I am sure. These people did not know what was causing the pain. From a nutritional prevention perspective I just suggested that there are two likely main causes with a third and fourth course of action bringing up the rear. The first two should be considered first since they are most likely to bring a rapid resolution by lowing pain almost immediately.Knee and my first course of action and vitamin CFirst is to start taking vitamin C 3 times a day. One should be aiming to take no less than 3g a day. Next it should be evaluated how many lectins one is consuming a day in there diet. This is courtesy of Here we seek to eliminate peppers, tomatoes, bell peppers, white potato, bread, peanuts, lentils, whole grains, and all beans. This may take away some of the arthritic root to the pain. Luckily vitamin C may also play a second role of helping to clean out the painful area of some toxins including perhaps some heavy metals that may have built up over the years.D3, magnesium and vitamin K and knee painLastly there are the longer term actions that may lead to a reduction in pain. These are first just increasing the intake of D3 to a minimum does of 80,000 IUs. This is not a huge amount when one considers the work of Jeff Bowles in his brilliant book as mentioned above. Where he says in his research that in the 1920s vitamin D was consumed regularly by the well informed middle classes. Big pharma did not like this so they campaigned government to get the measurement of D3 reclassified from 20mg (which seems a rather small amount) to 1,000,000 IUs (international units). This had the desired effects of people taking less. So taking 80,000 IUs of D3 is not a lot. It is infact less than 2mg that is 10% of what used to be taken back in the day. There are some upto date pieces of information that need to be taken into account to maximise the benefits of D3. Today' D3 is slightly stronger and needs to be taken with vitamin K-2,7 and 9 and it should also be taken with 600mg to 800mg of magnesium. This is because these vitamins and minerals are codependent. In my observation most vitamins and minerals are codependent. However, these particularly so. This will go some way to avoid some complications like mild heart pulpitations and a calcium buildup in the blood stream. This may sound worse than it is, but just a single spoonful of MSGs gave me pulpitations. At least this is good for us. The reason for taking D3 is that it will give the body a chance to fix bone spurs or any old shocks to the knee that need a little remodaling. This is explained very well in Jeff Bowels book cited above.Auto Immune knee painThe last thing is to check if there are any anti bodies around the knee this would point the way to an auto immune attack which would require a more intense wave of changes to diet, exercise and supplementation with perhaps a detox of heavy metals. So what happened to my three subjects.J.B. although still sensitive to knocks, he did find resolution of pain and gained almost full range of movement. However, in his case because he has been a painter and decorator his whole life. I believe he has suffered some toxicity from the days when lead was allowed in paints or even from the ongoing exposure in todays paints as mentioned here on this web site with the title So for toxins such as these one would begin by limiting exposure and start taking chelators. These bind easily to the more volatile heavy metals and liquids used in paints. The range of chelators are wide. To start with one would begin with vitamin C. More than 3g would help. Then one would move onto glutathione and then charcoal. Each are being taken to rid the blood stream of slightly different molecules. Which each find slightly more or less attractive to the toxins. It is important to notice that these chelators only work with what is in the blood stream at any one time. So the dangers of daily exposure to toxins would be limited. Fat stores toxins, and this is for safe keeping. However, if ones weight begins to shift down, then those stored toxins may be released into the blood stream and it is also here that these chelators would do their work. Next we have T. He was 66 years of age at the time of his break through. We worked together and he told me he might not be coming into work next week because of the pain in his knee. I said to him if he follows my suggestions over the next five days it is possible that he will reconsider, and that he might infact be happy to come into work next week. Luckily for him he followed my suggestions and he did indeed turn up on the Monday. His pain continued to reduce and now, apart from when he stops following the suggestions, has continued for the most part been pain free. He is still working. The next subject is my mum. She had already purchased her walking stick. She also had some conditions that resulted in her being self confined to her flat. This mostly meant the walking stick was soon put back into storage. So some time past before she realised that her knee had completely stopped hurting. For her the only intervention was vitamin C. Her max daily amount was only 1g, but she is tiny. What else about supplements and vitamin C a word about magnesium sterateVitamins come in all shapes and sizes. After a few years of taking mega amounts of supplements I noticed that my poo was a little too soft some times. I ignored this for most of the time. However, after some time I began to think it sometimes got worse. This led me to think it was maybe something I was consuming. The only thing I was consuming on a regular basis, I mean daily, was the vitamins. Then I began to notice it might be one of the most consistent ingreadients in supplements. Also just a quick note just incase anyone is interested. Her old vitamin C supplement contained some unecesary ingreadients that led to pain in her hand. We only know this because she swapped out that vitamin C supplier for another with a different arrangement of ingreadients and less ingreadients and within a week her pain in her hand had gone, and with each passing week her hand has got stronger. She is reluctant to go back to the old vitamin C, who can blame her, but if she does I will keep you posted on the fate of her hand. Copyright (c) 2008-2024 NutritionVault Mark C.
